Hello, I am Deniz. I study at Atatürk Secondary School. Before the ceremony for the 29 October Republic Day, our teacher chooses a leader for our group and gives us different responsibilities. This year, I am the leader. My classmates volunteer to take part in the choir. Some of them will also read poems. We practise for the ceremony together.
On the day of the ceremony, one student raises the flag on the flagpole and we sing the national anthem. Then our headmaster gives a short speech, and we celebrate Republic Day together. The choir sings cheerfully, and students read poems. We enjoy these celebrations because they are a chance to work together and support each other. And our teacher is always proud of our teamwork.
